Modus Series
Design: Kristian Vedel
The Modus series is characterized by its use of the same square frame across the Modus Easy Chair, Ottoman, and Table. This modular design offers endless possibilities for configurations, with the Modus Easy available with or without armrests, allowing for the creation of new playfull seating arrangements. Designed by Kristian Vedel in the 1960s, the series has been reintroduced by Miyazaki following the designer's passing, in collaboration with his wife, Ane Vedel. The reissue incorporates enhancements in quality, materials, and more, ensuring that the timeless classic seamlessly fits into a variety of interiors while also being adapted to meet modern comfort standards. In 2023, a special edition of the Modus easy and Modus ottoman was released, named Vedel 100, to commemorate the 100th birthday of Danish designer Kristian Vedel (1923 - 2003).
