Design: Takuya Matuoka / Japan
After his engineering studies Matsuoka started as a craftsman at the Miyazaki Chair Factory. He quickly grew into a master of the chair making process with an eye for the smallest detail.
Not only working with advanced machinery but also working on the development of new techniques.
During his search for innovation, he was able to improve a classic joint. He imagined a structure that was as strong as light consisting of only 2 frames fastened together crosswise.
The result, a one-of-a-kind, cute, practical chair, named Tsumuji. A wooden 3 leg, that is ergonomically shaped to soften the impact on the back and thight.
There is a seperate seating cushion available for this model. Both comfortable with wooden seat or by using the extra cushion.
